Cornwall Day Three: Geevor Tin Mine & St.Michael's Mount.
05:02
The next day we went to visit Geevor Tin Mine, which is an old mining site once used to extract tin and other metals from underground ores but is no longer used for that purpose. We also see the old untouched enviroment from when the miners had once used everyday, like the old changing rooms and sign in offices. Because everything is still exactly how it used to be and not modernised, it gave the place quite an eerie feel to think that this was the exact enviroment seen by the miners everyday. This is why this is also one of my favourite places we visited.
Where miners would clock in and out before and after shifts.
Some pegs in shower rooms.
Favourite piece of graffiti.
After Geevor we went to St.Michaels mount. We walked across the beach, and up the very steep hill. It was one hell of a walk. One of the coolest things about the mount is that if you walk to the mountain, you would need a boat back to the shore in the evening because the tide comes in and the mountain becomes an island. That I found amazing. It was as if we were in a completely different place by the evening.
Me on top of the mountain, gazing out to see haha.
What a view.
So much rose-gold!!
By the end of the day I really felt like I did a lot of leg work and I must of burnt a hell of a lot of calories to compensate for all that chocolate I ate on the journey there lol,
